TAKE A FIRST LOOK AT THE FESTIVAL SITE

Read, what our producers have planned.

As the year changes, planning and production of À la Park are in full swing, and the event area is beginning to take shape and turn into actual plans. As promised at the end of last year, it’s time to dive deeper into designing the festival area in Meripuisto, the park area located in the southern tip of Helsinki, between Kaivopuisto and Cafe Carusel. To capture the right atmosphere and vision, you can use the help of the illustration in this article, but in addition, the event and production managers of À la Park describe the upcoming plans below.

Surrounded by the pastel-colored houses of Huvilakatu, the shimmering sea view, the marina filled with sailboats, and the lush greenery of Kaivopuisto, a relaxed festival experience will take place, and visitors can explore first-class services and experiences at their own pace.
"It’s a wonderful privilege to organize a festival in one of the most beautiful locations in Helsinki, especially since no events of this scale have been held here before. We get to create a festival for our guests that also aligns with my own vision of a dream event – leisurely summer days in an incredible setting with friends,” envisions Event Director Iina Maula.

The area will feature top-notch food and beverages, versatile program, terraces, and seating areas where visitors can soak up the sun and enjoy the offerings. The tasting portions provided by festival restaurants will allow visitors to experience new culinary delights by exploring different restaurants in the park. At the event, you’ll have the opportunity to gather the most tempting dishes from the restaurant selection, pair them with perfectly matched drinks, and enjoy them with friends while listening to the most anticipated concerts of the summer.

The goal of À la Park is to offer its visitors an effortless and enjoyable summer weekend through a festival that seamlessly blends into the beloved and respected Helsinki environment in both atmosphere and appearance.
"The idea is to sprinkle the festival services throughout Meripuisto so that quality food and drinks, space to relax and enjoy the festival, and access to both announced and yet-to-be-announced program can be found everywhere in the area,” says Production Manager Mikael Neves.

What’s ahead is a weekend that will delight all your senses in the best and most summery ways. Stay tuned by following social media channels and don’t forget to subscribe to our newsletter!
