Pinsa Lokal
Pinsa Lokal is a concept that marinated during 2024 from a pop-up restaurant to an idea of the perfect pizzeria. Created by artist Kasmir, Pizza Lokal’s sub-brand Pinsa Lokal by Kasmir x Chef of the Year Simo Harrivaara is a restaurant concept designed for À la Park, combining crispiness, fluffiness, and freshness. The collaboration with Harrivaara will blend fine dining with the pizza scene in a way that will make even the most die-hard Empire Special lover exclaim, cured egg yolk!
Pizza Lokal was born when Thomas Kirjonen, also known as the artist Karmis, became passionate about baking—especially perfecting pizza dough. Kirjonen and Simo Harrivaara, who was named Chef of the Year in 2024, have known each other since before their careers took off and have always shared a deep connection through food and music. Both emphasize that cooking is about caring and expressing love, and a way to see the creations of your own hands.
