SicaPelle

The Porvoo-based restaurant SicaPelle is coming to À la Park with its classic dishes and wine bistro delicacies. Known for its tasting menus and long dinners, this restaurant from a Helsinki-rooted restaurateur family is thrilled to bring a special selection of its menu to the festival. Most of SicaPelle’s customers travel from Helsinki to experience its flavors in Old Porvoo, so it’s wonderful that this time the restaurant is coming to them while still retaining its characteristic seaside ambiance. 

What’s playing in the kitchen at SicaPelle? 
“There’s some some pretty old guys in our kitchen, so the music selection is alarmingly broad and lacks clear theme. Throughout the day, you’ll hear everything from HIM to Via Dolorosa, Finnish rap, and 90s hiphop. Once, Mikko had to prep alone all day, and he played Chisu’s Mysteeri on repeat for over three hours, blasting it all the way to the yard. It actually made some good content for social media, so I guess it had its purpose!”
